Ingushetia has built its first swimming pool
The opening of the first swimming pool, built in the territory of the sports complex of the Ingush State University (IngSU), was held on December 29 in the city of Magas.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Arsamak Martazanov, the Rector of the IngSU, that the pool will boost water sports in Ingushetia and allow holding sports and recreation activities.
The pool is located in the city of Magas, in the territory allocated for building a university sports complex. The area comprises a hostel for students and staff, a swimming pool, a library and other objects.
The prices for swimming tickets are not yet defined; however, the rector has assured that they will "be affordable."
According to Yu. Magomadov, a student of the IngSU, the most popular sports in the republic are power sports; "they practically have no alternative, not because the guys do not want to go, say, in for athletics or swimming, but because there are no appropriate conditions."
