Rostov NGO spreads New Year gifts among homeless people

In the Rostov Region, the public organization "Rostov without Drugs" is undertaking the action "With Faith for the Best", during which homeless people are given meals and New Year gifts.

On December 29, dozens of beggars gathered near the central marketplace of Rostov-on-Don; they were congratulated on the New Year by Father Frost and the Snow Maiden and each received a bag of sweets.

"Many thanks to these people! Without their help, care and tasty food it would be very hard to live. On the eve of the holiday as never before we need faith for the future; and these good people give us hope," a homeless woman named Lucy thanked the organizers of the action.

The distribution of free foodstuffs will be held in the regional capital until January 8, the "Website of Rostov-on-Don" reports.

The action of the public organization was also held in Novocherkassk. "Everything is done on a voluntary basis. Our volunteers are the guys that are going through rehabilitation. Some of them had also been in a similar situation," said Mikhail Omelyanenko, the head of the Novocherkassk branch of the organization "Rostov without Drugs", who is quoted by the "Southern Region".
