Azerbaijan blames Armenia for shelling its positions

The spokesman of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated that on January 1 and 2 the Armenian Armed Forces broke the ceasefire.

According to the source, the incidents were fixed in three sections of the contact line.

The fire was delivered from the positions near the villages of Marzili, Yusifdjanly and Garagashly of the Agdam District, and of the village of Chayli, Terter District, and from the positions deployed on the nameless heights in the Khodjavend District, the "Trend" reports with reference to the press service of the MoD of Azerbaijan.

The shelling was suppressed by return fire, the "Vesti.Az" reports.
