Court in Krasnodar plans to extend Mikhail Savva's arrest

The court in Krasnodar has appointed a hearing for June 5, where it will consider the further freedom restriction of Mikhail Savva, whose detention expires on June 12. His wife Elena Savva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it. The session of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 5.

Meanwhile, Marina Dubrovina, Mikhail Savva's advocate, said that tomorrow she would not be able to attend the session, because she would be away from Krasnodar. She plans to apply for a delay of the session.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of the officials of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar and investigators about the session scheduled for June 5 on Mikhail Savva's further freedom restriction.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Professor Mikhail Savva from the KubanStateUniversity was arrested on April 13 on suspicion of embezzlement of budgetary funds allocated by the territorial administration in the form of a grant. On April 29, the Krasnodar Court dismissed the complaint against his arrest. The decision of the of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar motivates the dismissal by the fact that when at large Mikhail Savva can impede the investigation and continue his criminal activity.
