Prosecutor's Office Chechnya demands to recognize website "Ministry of Truth of the Russian Federation" as extremist
In Chechnya, the Prosecutor's Office is seeking to recognize the website named "Ministry of Truth of the Russian Federation" as extremist, in connection with the publication of the audio and video materials put by the Russian Ministry of Justice into the list of extremist materials.
"The above materials include the movie 'The Eternal Jew', banned in the country, various extremist brochures relating to religion and so on. On this occasion, a respective presentation was sent to the court demanding to recognize the above Internet resource as extremist, with all the outgoing circumstances," a source from the Republic's Prosecutor's Office told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
He added that the above presentation was sent to the judiciary in accordance with the federal law "On Counteracting Extremist Activities".
The website "Ministry of Truth of the Russian Federation" has nothing to do with any of the governmental agencies. It presents a complete federal list of extremist materials, which today counts 1920 names.
Besides, earlier, the Chechen Prosecutor's Office obliged the Internet-providers operating in the republic to restrict access to two Internet sites that contain instructions for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at home from commercially available chemicals and materials.
Let us remind you that in February, the Lenin District Court of Grozny satisfied the motion of the Prosecutor's Office and declared the websites of the blog agency "Kavkaz-Centre" and "Imam-TV" as extremist.
