The court released Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi Shota Khizanishvili on bail

Tbilisi city court decided to release Shota Khizanishvili, ex-Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs of Georgia and presently Vice-Mayor of Tbilisi, on bail.

Khizanishvili was detained on November, 15, among 12 ex-employees of the units of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia for suspicion of the use of a computer virus for wire-tapping politicians’ talks. The decision to alter the form of preventive punishment was taken upon a motion entered by 21 parliamentarians from the opposition.

Public Prosecutor’s office demanded to leave the official in custody, “Georgia Online” reports.
