NAC: two "suicide belts" found and neutralized in Dagestan
According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), on June 11, two terror acts were prevented in Dagestan. The Committee reports that two "suicide belts" similar to those found in the republic on June 7, were neutralized in Makhachkala and Kaspiisk.
The power of the detected improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was 200 grams of TNT (trotyl) equivalent, the ITAR-TASS reports referring to its source from the NAC.
According to the NAC, the premises, where the IEDs were found, are inhabited by residents of Makhachkala Sabina Sheimuradova and Sultanate Krymova, engaged in psychological treatment of women for their involvement in terrorist activities.
The NAC believe that the "suicide belts" that could have been manufactured in these premises, were intended to be used in terror acts "in the near future", the RIA Novosti reports.
