North Ossetia eliminates consequences of avalanche in military town

North Ossetia has established the operative group to coordinate interaction and elimination of consequences of avalanche that occurred in the military unit. This was reported by the representative of the Southern Military District of the Ministry (SMD) of Defence (MoD) of the Russian Federation. The place of the incident is being supplied with tents, stoves, diesel generators and firewood.

Today, at about 08:00 Moscow time, a powerful avalanche went to the territory of the military town of a motorized rifle unit of the SMD in North Ossetia and destroyed the building of the generator plant. No military men were killed or injured.

According to the representative of the press service of the SMD, the facilities of the infrastructure of the military town suffered on the northern slope near the Roki Tunnel.

"Boiler house and bath house were damaged, and on the first floor, windows of one of the barracks were pressed inside by snow. Because of the damaged infrastructure, lighting and heating are temporarily out of service," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the representative of the Southern Military District of the Ministry of Defence.

The nearby military units organized supply of two tents, four stoves, diesel generators and firewood to provide personnel with heating.
