Soldier wounded in shootout in Dagestan

As a result of an armed clash that occurred in the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan, a soldier of internal troops was wounded. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source in the Investigating Committee of the Russia Federation (ICRF) for Dagestan.

"Soldiers were combing the forest massive two kilometres from the village of Gubden of the Karabudakhkent District. At about 04:00 p.m., they came across a camp of members of illegal armed formations (IAFs). An armed clash occurred. The members of IAFs managed to escape, and at present, the soldiers are pursuing them. The number of suspected militants in the grouping has not yet revealed," the law enforcement agent has stated.

According to his information, one soldier had been wounded during the armed clash. The severity of his wound is still unknown.
