Astrakhan: tenants of house without water and heating receive keys of new apartment

Today, in Astrakhan, the first tenants of the building No. 172 in Krasnaya Naberezhnaya Street, which has no sewerage, water supply and heating, received the keys of a new two-room apartment in a new building.

In September and October of 2012, the tenants of the building held a series of pickets to draw attention to the city administration to the fact that the building had no sewerage, water supply and heating.

"It's a real pleasure to hold in your hands the long-awaited keys of a new apartment! After years of visiting all instances, listening to our address a lot of words and unwillingness to listen to us," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Irina Spirina, a resident of the building, after she examines the new apartment.

Irina Spirina has stated that, starting from 2000, she visited different instances to get an apartment. Irina and her brother Andrei were the first persons who collected all the documents required to get a new apartment.

Other tenants of the house No. 172 in Krasnaya Naberezhnaya Street still continue to collect documents.
