Armenia introduces visa-free regime for EU citizens

Today, in Armenia, the Government's decision enters into force to cancel the visa regime for entry of citizens of the EU and the Schengen Agreement countries.

According to the decision of the Government of Armenia, starting from January 10, EU citizens will be allowed to stay in the country without visas for up to 90 days a year. This also applies to citizens of such European countries as Switzerland, which is not a member of the EU, but is a part of the Schengen area, the "Arm-INFO" reports.

Meanwhile, citizens of Latvia will be allowed to enter Armenia without visas and stay there up to 180 days a year. This was reported by the "Interfax" with reference to the press centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Latvia.
