Armenian CEC: eight candidates to run for presidency

Eight candidates will continue running for the Armenian presidency. This was reported today at the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Armenia.

They are: incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, Raffi Ovannisyan, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs and the leader of the "Heritage" Party, Grant Bagratyan, ex-Prime Minister and Chairman of the "Freedom" Party, Andreas Gukasyan, political scientist and Director of the "Radio-Ai", Arman Melikyan, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nagorno-Karabakh and the political adviser to the network of the civil society "Refugees and International Law", Paruir Airikyan, the leader of the "National Self-Determination" Association, nonpartisan Vardan Sedrakyan, and Aram Arutyunyan, the leader of the "National Accord" Party. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the representative of the press service of the Armenian CEC.
