Woman from Makhachkala claims that policemen forced her to give DNA assay
A resident of Makhachkala Sakinat Saidova said that she was forcibly taken away by power agents to the Kirov ROVD, where a DNA blood assay was taken from her; and now she fears for her life.
The incident with Sakinat Saidova occurred on June 10. On that day, in the morning, when she was accompanying her son to the kindergarten, she was approached by policemen of the Kirov ROVD, who asked the woman to go with them to the police station.
According to Sakinat, the policemen brought her to the Kirov ROVD of Makhachkala; on the way they spoke rudely. Upon arrival, she was told to give a blood assay for DNA; after that they let her go home.
Sakinat Saidova filed a complaint with the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).
"We intend to turn on the matter to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan and ask the supervisory authorities to inspect the fact," Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the "Pravozaschita" told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. She added that she had a lot of concern about the new methods used by law enforcers. "It's for the first time that I hear that policemen come home and take a person to the ROVD to take a blood test," said Aisha Selimkhanova.
The on duty unit of the Kirov ROVD of Makhachkala has denied the fact of forcing the woman to have her blood tested.
