Bomb planted into Makhachkala railway neutralized
The improvised explosive device (IED), detected on June 14 on rails in Makhachkala, was neutralized, the Dagestani operational headquarters reports.
The power of the bomb was two kilograms of TNT (trotyl) equivalent, the "Vesti.ru" reports.
After the IED was detected, the traffic on the Makhachkala section of the North-Caucasian Railway was suspended. The bomb threat had no impact on traffic along the route Baku-Moscow; and today trains from Moscow to the capital of Azerbaijan on the schedule, the "APA" reports referring to the "Azerbaijani Railways".
So far, the "Russian Railways" made no comments on the incident.
