A picket against the authorities’ corruption passed off in Volgograd

Boris Pylin, Co-chairman of Volgograd regional branch of PARNAS (People's Freedom Party), held a single-person picket demanding resignation of regional Governor Sergey Bozhenov’s circle. The reason for the action was detention of Deputy Chairman of regional Government Pavel Krupnov.

Krupnov was detained on January, 6, for suspicion of bribe-taking for assistance in conclusion of a contract on repair of the oncologic dispensary. On January, 10, the news appeared that Krupnov was dismissed from office. He voluntarily returned 17 million rubles he received, according to the investigation’s version as a bribe, though he did not acknowledge his guilt.

Boris Pylin was standing in a picket holding a poster “Down with Astrakhan corrupt officials from Bozhenov’s Government!”. According to the resident of Volgograd, he is going to continue picketing until Astrakhan corrupt officials leave Volgograd land, IA “Vysota 102” reports.

The picketer also distributed leaflets calling to “rise and make the authority fair”, “News of Political Parties” media reports.
