Three co-authors of “International Tribunal for Chechnya” monograph summoned to court

Three co-authors of the monograph and head of interregional non-governmental organization “Committee Against Torture” Igor Kalyapinwere summoned to Dzerzhinsky district court of Nizhegorodsky region on the case of acknowledgment the book “International Tribunal for Chechnya” an extremist material.

The two-volume study by Stanislav Dmitrievsky, Bogdan Gvarieli and Oksana Chelysheva “International Tribunal for Chechnya. Legal prospect of making criminally liable persons suspected of committing military crimes and crimes against humanity during the armed conflict in the Chechen Republic” was devoted to crimes committed during the armed conflict in Chechnya and presented in Moscow in 2009.

Alexander Manov, attorney of Stanislav Dmitrievsky, one of the authors, informed the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent about summons of the three co-authors of “International Tribunal for Chechnya” and Igor Kalyapin to court.

According to the investigation’s version, the information the book contains is aimed at humiliation of a group of persons and triggering actions against them. According to Stanislav Dmitrievsky, the criticism of the book is of political nature.
