Parties to conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh accuse each other of shelling

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan accused Armenia of shelling its positions on January 11 and 12. In response, the Karabakh party claimed violation of ceasefire by military units of Azerbaijan.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, at night on January 11 and 12, the Armenian armed units violated ceasefire from the positions deployed in the nameless heights of the Fizuli District. The shelling was suppressed, the "Aze.az" reports with reference to the Azerbaijani MoD.

On January 6-12, the Azerbaijani side violated ceasefire about 200 times on the line of contact between the armed forces. This was reported in response by a representative of the Army of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The advanced units of the Army of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh adhere to ceasefire, the "Armenia Today" reports with reference to a representative of the Army of Defence.
