In Dagestan, representatives of organization "Pravozaschita" claim obstacles to their activities

The website of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) is exposed to the massive DoS-attack, and, therefore, it does not function for three days already. This was reported by the human rights activists.

The website was blocked in the morning of January 9. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Fatima Tarasova, a representative the organization "Pravozaschita". "We learned the fact that our website has been blocked from our readers who were not able to gain access to the necessary materials. The organization hosting our website has explained us that our website had been disabled because of massive DoS-attacks. We do not know when the connection will be restored," Fatima Tarasova has said.

On January 11, Ziyavudin Uvaisov, the advocate who cooperates with the organization "Pravozaschita", contacted the organization providing hosting for the website of the organization "Pravozaschita". There, he was told that "the website had been disabled because of the powerful DoS-attacks against it."

"According to the provider's story, the attack on the website was so powerful that they had to disable the website to ensure that other websites serviced by the same hosting provider were not affected by the DoS-attack," Ziyavudin Uvaisov has clarified.
