Antigovernmental leaflets calling to come out to a meeting appeared in Tskhinvali

Unidentified persons spread antigovernmental leaflets in the streets of Tskhinvali calling to come out for a meeting in Teatralnaya (Theater) square on June, 18. Mayor’s office of Tskhinvali states that no one submitted notifications of holding the action.

The leaflets contained slogans: “Down with the President!”, “Down with pro-Georgian Government!”, eye witnesses told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Law enforcement bodies confirmed the fact of distribution of the leaflets but pointed out that the spreaders were not identified.

“The leaflets are of an obviously provocative nature. The organizers are unknown. There were no attempts of holding any meetings”, law enforcement bodies reported.

Officials of Mayor’s office of Tskhinvali stated that no one submitted a request of authorizing the meeting.
