Dagestan: activist of DRPO "Pravozaschita" fined for violating CTO regime
The magistrate court of Buynaksk has fined Zarema Bagautdinova, an employee of the Dagestan Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) by 300 roubles for breaking the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime.
"I continue believing that the case against me was fabricated. Knowing in advance about the bias of the judiciary, I refused to evidence at the court session," Ms Bagautdinova said in her interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported, with reference to the DRPO "Pravozaschita", that on May 6 policemen detained Zarema, when she tried to film – by means of her mobile phone – a search in the house of woman-resident of Buynaksk; later she was released. On May 7, Zarema Bagautdinova turned to the Public Prosecutor of Buynaksk with a complaint against the policemen, who broke her phone at detention. After that she learned about the initiation of administrative proceedings against her under the article of "violating the legal regime of a counterterrorist operation" (Article 20.27 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation).
Let us remind you that on May 6 power agents triggered explosions in three private houses of Buynaksk, where, according to the city police, powerful improvised explosion devices (IEDs) were found. Residents of the houses stated that the bombs had been planted in their houses during the searches.
