Bagautdinova: 23 residents of Buinaksk delivered to the police for drawing DNA samples

23 residents of Buinaksk, Dagestan, whose relatives are suspected of participation in paramilitary groups or aid to armed underground were delivered to the municipal police department for drawing DNA samples.

Drawing DNA samples was carried out in the department at 13:00, June, 19. “Parents, wives and widows of actual members of paramilitary groups and those suspected of rendering aid to them were among the persons delivered to the municipal police department”, Zarema Bagautdinova, member of Dagestani regional civil organization “Pravozashita” (“Human Rights Protection”) in Buinaksk district said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

According to the human rights activist, she received no official documents proving legality of this action. She also added that some of the persons delivered to the police department have already undergone saliva tests after CTO regime was enacted in the town and a series of detentions was carried out.

Bagautdinova thinks that actions like this will let off the leash those who “practice forging criminal cases”. The human rights activist added that she was going to appeal to Public Prosecutor’s office asking to verify legality of the actions of the personnel of municipal police department of Buinaksk.
