Chair of RPO "Mothers of Chechnya" hospitalized after attack in Moscow
In Moscow, unidentified persons tried to abduct Madina Magomadova, the chair of the Republic's Public Organization (RPO) "Mothers of Chechnya"; she herself told about it. As a result of the attack she was hospitalized with a brain concussion.
Madina told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the incident occurred in the evening on June 8, when she met a journalist to discuss the preparation of the international photo exhibition dedicated to the civilians kidnapped in Chechnya during the Chechen Wars.
Two young men sat at the next table; their behaviour seemed strange to her. Madina suspected that the guys were recording her conversation with the journalist. They decided to leave the restaurant; then, they parted.
Magomadova was overtaken by one of the young men, who tried to force her into a car. Then, he and the driver of the car pushed the woman; she fell down and hit her head on the asphalt.
The chair of the RPO "Mothers of Chechnya" is not going to address the police. She told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that it was not the first time she was subjected to violence by unidentified persons – similar incidents, according to Madina Magomadova, happened to her during the war.
