At trial in Rostov-on-Don Ali Taziev states his innocence

At the session of the North-Caucasian Military District Court in Rostov-on-Don, Ali Taziev, one of the leaders of "Imarat Kavkaz", accused of an attempt on the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov and organizing terror acts, has refused to plead guilty.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ali Taziev was detained in Malgobek on June 9, 2010. He is charged with organizing and directing illegal armed formations (IAFs), whose members were involved in a number of very grave crimes, including the attempt on the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov. On May 13, an open trial began; and Ali Taziev pled guilty in part.

Today, the session listened to the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov, who evidenced as the victim. He invited Ali Taziev to repent. When asked by the state prosecutor about what he knew about the defendant and his involvement in the crimes he was accused of, Evkurov said that "Ali Taziev was directly related to the military wing of 'Imarat Kavkaz' and was an ideologist and organizer of various terror acts."

"This information is known to me primarily from my conversations with those IAF members, who lay down arms and surrender. However, I can't confirm it," said the head of Ingushetia.

Let us remind you that many of the witnesses fail to appear to testify in Taziev's case; therefore, the court has to bring them to the trial by force.
