Extermination of the archive of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia with the materials of secret surveillance deferred
It was decided to defer extermination of the first part of the archive of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia with the materials on the citizens’ personal privacy for an indefinite term because a special committee is going to familiarize representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country with a number of records, one of the members of the committee Lasha Tugushi reported today.
Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” informed that the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Georgia was first planning to exterminate its archive detection of which was announced only after coalition “The Georgian Dream” came to power in May. Then a special committee was organized to monitor the process of extermination which decided to exterminate the first part of the archive on June, 23.
The decision to familiarize the Diplomatic Corps with the materials was taken during today’s session of the committee. A new date of extermination will be determined at a session that will be held in a week, Editor-in-Chief of “Rezonansi” newspaper Lasha Tugushi reported.
The President is obliged to familiarize himself with archives like this regardless of its contents, Head of international organization “Transparency International – Georgia” Ekaterina Gigauri declared.
Before demonstration of the archive records to the Diplomatic Corps it is planned to hide the faces in order to make identification of the persons on the videos impossible.
