Relatives of Asilder Omarov detained on suspicion of helping IAFs cannot locate him

In Dagestan, the police are concealing information about the whereabouts of a resident of Buynaksk Asilder Omarov, detained on suspicion of aiding members of illegal armed formations (IAFs), his relatives assert. The police claim that the detainee is kept at the IVS (temporary detention facility) of Buynaksk.

Asilder Omarov, born in 1980, disappeared on June 19, his sister Zulkhizhat Saifullaeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"One of his acquaintances, who was driving on the Highway Kazanische-Buynaksk, saw how a few people in masks and camouflage forced my brother into their car and drove away. His car has not been found yet," said Saifullaeva.

According to her story, the witness of the kidnapping "was intimidated by power agents and refused to talk more about the incident."

The Dagestan Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) has confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent the receipt by them of Saifullaeva's application and noted that on June 22 they would prepare appropriate requests to the prosecutor's offices of the republic and the city of Buynaksk asking to define Omarov's whereabouts.

The "Caucasian Knot" continues monitoring the situation in Dagestan and runs the chronicle of special operations, shootings and kidnappings there.
