Candidate for presidency of Armenia Andreas Gukasyan went on a hunger strike

Director of “Radio-Ai” Andreas Gukasyan, running candidate for presidency of Armenia, started his promised hunger strike on the first day of the electoral campaign.

He chose the territory in front of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia as a place for holding his action.

According to Gukasyan, only two situations when he might suspend hunger strike are possible: if President of Armenia Sergz Sargsyan withdraws his candidacy or if the European observers declare Armenia an undemocratic country.

“Sargsyan’s participation in the presidential election was imposed on the majority of the electorate. The ruling party brings pressure on the electors forcing them to vote”, the candidate declared.

According to Gukasyan, he will strive until he obtains the desirable result.
