Relatives of two residents of Kabardino-Balkaria report their disappearance

Resident of Nalchik Alim Kaitaev and resident of the settlement of Hasania Ismail Baluev disappeared in Kabardino-Balkaria, their relatives report. They submitted statements about it to law enforcement bodies and human rights activists.

Ahmat Kaitaev said the his brother Alim Kaitaev disappeared. According to him, in the morning of January, 22, his brother left home for the parking lot and did not come back. “I suppose power-wielding structures may be involved in my brother’s disappearance”, Ahmat Kaitaev explained.

According to him, the day before his brother’s friend Ismail Baluev disappeared. Kaitaev thinks that these two disappearances are “interrelated and the same persons are involved in them”. This is reported in his statement a scanned copy of which was received by the “Caucasian Knot” today.

The information of Ismail Baluev’s disappearance was confirmed by his wife Makka Avsazheva. According to her, her husband left home on January, 21, and did not return.

“My husband observes the rules of Islam. Taking into consideration cases of disappearance or illegal detention of Muslims in our republic that became more frequent I have actual reasons to fear for his life and health”, a copy of Avsazheva’s statement also received by the “Caucasian Knot” runs.
