Committee of Inquiry: the man killed in a skirmish with members of power ministries in Dagestan was involved in firing at policemen near the settlement of Tlyarata

A man killed in a skirmish with policemen in the settlement of Ingishi was preliminarily identified as Gadjimurad Omarov. According to the investigation’s version, he was one of the two men who on January, 23, opened fire at the personnel of law enforcement bodies near the settlement of Tlyarata, Gumbet district, a representative of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation in Dagestan reported.

About midnight, January, 23, a flying squad stopped a car for inspection near the settlement of Tlyarata. Two men in the cabin opened fire and escaped. None of the policemen got injured.

According to a representative of Committee of Inquiry, Omarov equipped with a grenade and a self-firer trying to escape from the policemen got into one of the houses in the settlement of Ingisi, turned the owners out and hid himself in the house. During negotiation Omarov refused to surrender and was killed in a skirmish. None of the policemen was injured.

The “Caucasian Knot” has no comment yet from Gadjimurad Omarov’s relatives or their representatives.
