The meetings planned on January, 26, in Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk were not authorized by the authorities
The municipal authorities of Nevinnomyssk and Stavropol did not authorize meetings within the framework of the action initiated by nationalist organizations “Stavropol region is no Caucasus!”. The organizers declared that they would come out all the same.
In the Committee of Public Security of the Administration of Stavropol the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent was told that the organizers of the meeting planned on January, 26, in the square of the 200th Anniversary of the city voluntarily withdrew the notification of the action submitted earlier.
The Administration of Nevinnomyssk did not authorize the action upon Ilia Kartsev’s request for he had an uncleared criminal record for committing a crime against public security and public order and according to federal law “On assembly, meetings, demonstrations, processions and picketing” could not be an organizer of a public action, officials of the Administration state.
“The operative data collected indicates that the actions will be held all the same but very few people will take part in them”, a source in law enforcement bodies of the region said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
