In Dagestan, alleged militant broke out of blocked house, nobody suffered

The supposed militant who was blocked in the Dagestani village of Gurik, Tabasaran District, opened fire at the police and broke out of the encirclement.

The incident occurred on the morning on February 1.

According to the police, a member of the subversive and terrorist grouping "Yuzhnaya" (Southern) was blocked in his house. He had been put on the federal wanted list on suspicion of involvement in attacks on law enforcers, an armed robbery and illegal possession and carrying of firearms, the ITAR-TASS reports with reference to a source from the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The blocked militant opened fire from a submachine gun; he managed to break out of the cordon and escape.

There are no victims, the RIA "Dagestan" quotes the press service of the MIA.
