Khintba: Geneva discussions should be actualized

As stated by Irakli Khintba, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, at the next round of international discussions in Geneva on security and stability in Southern Caucasus, they plan to raise the issue of a more suitable form of the discussions.

On June 25, the next round of international discussions on security and stability in Southern Caucasus was launched in Geneva with participation of delegates from Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, South Ossetia, as well as from the UN, the OSCE and the EU.

On June 25, for the participants of the discussions an information session was organized on the issue of unilateral declarations made by South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Georgia about the non-use of force, said Murat Djioev, the head of the South-Ossetian delegation and the presidential envoy for post-conflict settlement of South Ossetia.

According to his story, today, the delegation of South Ossetia also had bilateral meetings with the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions and a number of delegations.

The continuation of the 24th round of discussions is expected tomorrow. It is assumed that the main attention will be paid to the security of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the IA "Res" reports today with reference to Murat Djioev.
