Kozak: Bilalov will be dismissed from the posts of Vice-President of the Olympic Committee and head of "Resorts of Northern Caucasus"

The Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to dismiss Akhmed Bilalov from all his posts, namely, of Vice President of the Russian Olympic Committee and the head of the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "Resorts of Northern Caucasus", Dmitry Kozak, the Deputy Prime Minister, has reported.

On February 6, during his visit to Sochi and inspection of the facilities of the Sochi Olympics, the Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his dissatisfaction with the construction tempo of construction of the ski-flying complex "Russian Hills".

"The respective instructions have been made; he will be dismissed from these two posts," Mr Kozak told reporters at a press conference.

"Akhmed Bilalov had volunteered to build the facility; and he was granted a loan. Naturally, the reaction of the president to this story followed. Once these commitments were taken, they became obligation of Russia to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). People who fail to fulfil their obligations at such a scale can't lead the Olympic Movement in our country and head the 'Resorts of Northern Caucasus'," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Dmitry Kozak as saying.

In his turn, Akhmed Bilalov has not yet commented on Vladimir Putin's criticism. "I don't know about that, I can't comment," he said in his interview to the "Russian News Service".
