Armenian capital hosts protest action against falsifications at presidential election
On February 8, Yerevan hosted a march under the slogan "Down with regime and fabricated election!", at the end of which the marchers collected signatures demanding to expel international observers from the country.
From the building of the Central Election Commission (CEC), the march headed to the office of the OSCE, where on January 31, the action was held against the participation in the election of international observers. At the residence of the OSCE, the protesters also demanded that representatives of international missions should leave the country not to contribute to falsification of the election processes. The participants passed 15 letters to ambassadors of the OSCE countries to contribute to recalling the observers, the "Arminfo" reports.
By blocking the way, the police prevented the marchers going to the building of the presidential residence, the "Aysor.am" reports.
After the protesters were still allowed to pass through, they lined up in front of the residence and began to shout the slogan "Freedom to policemen!", the "Armenia Today" reports.
The march ended in front of the Academy of Sciences, where the protesters organized the collection of signatures for expelling the international observers from Armenia.
