The court acknowledged two policemen guilty of negligence on the case of disturbances in Sagra

Upon the verdict of Verkhnepyshminsky city court, policemen Vadim Zainiev and Sergey Zinoviev in Sverdlovsky region were acknowledged guilty of negligence while carrying out their service duties during disturbances in Sagra that carried away the life of a native of Azerbaijan.

A charge of failure to prevent a conflict in the suburb of Ekaterinburg on July, 2, 2011, was brought against the policemen. Then, according to local residents, several people repulsed 60 armed assailants.

Ex-Head of the Department of Interior Affairs in Verkhnepyshminsky and Sredneuralsky municipal districts Vadim Zainiev and Deputy Head of the Department Sergey Zinoviev failed to carry out due control of their district and consciously permitted a mass scuffle with the use of arms.

Zainiev was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months of imprisonment in a general regime colony and Zinoviev to 10 months of correctional labour with 10% deduction from his wages, web-site of Committee of Inquiry reports.

There has been no comment from the defendants or their attorneys concerning the verdict yet.
