Magomed Gaitukiev earlier convicted for aid to gunmen killed in Ingushetia

Today during search in one of the houses of Sunzha district of Ingushetia officers of Federal Security Service killed a local resident who according to National Anti-Terrorist Committee’s version, opened fire at them.

According to law enforcement bodies, during search in the house in the settlement of Galashki, Sunzha district of Ingushetia, the man got a self-firer out of a hiding place, started shooting at FSS officers and tried to escape.

He was killed by backfire and later identified as Magomed Gaitukiev born in 1973 earlier convicted for aid to paramilitary groups, ITAR-TASS referring to NAC reports.

The search in Gaitukiev’s house was carried out within the framework of actions on detection of the gunmen’s accomplices. Two home-made explosive devices were found. Upon the results of the searches, up to three people all in all were detained. Members of power ministries found a “bomb belt”, two home-made grenades and a grenade launcher in the house of one of them, RIA “Novosti” referring to a representative of FSS reports.

The detainees’ names are not disclosed. There has been no comment from Magomed Gaitukiev’s relatives or the detained supposed accomplices of members of paramilitary groups yet.
