In Stavropol Territory, court leaves lawsuit against ban of hijabs in schools unconsidered

The Stavropol Regional Court has left unconsidered the lawsuit to cancel the resolution of the Government of the Stavropol Territory, which does not involve the possibility of wearing hijabs.

In early February, Moscow advocate Murad Musaev filed to the Court a lawsuit to cancel the resolution of the Government of the Stavropol Territory "On approval of basic requirements for school clothes and appearance of schoolchildren", in accordance to which the school uniform should comply with the standards of SanPiN (Sanitary and Epidemiological Rules and Regulations). The advocate represented the interests of Muslims from the eastern parts of the Stavropol Territory.

The advocate's lawsuit was left unconsidered because of the number of violations in the procedure for its completion. This was reported by the statement published on February 13 on the official website of the Stavropol Regional Court.

In case if the applicant eliminates all shortcomings, the lawsuit can be considered repeatedly, the "Interfax" reports.
