Politician who announced award for Akram Aylisli's ear warned about responsibility for incitement

In Azerbaijan, the police made an official warning to politician Khafiz Gadjiev, who announced an award for an ear of writer Akram Aylisli, regarding the responsibility for incitement to illegal actions.

After his announcement that he would reward the one who would cut off an ear of writer Akram Aylisli, Khafiz Gadjiev, Chairman of the "Modern Musavat" Party, was summoned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). This was reported by Sadyg Gezalov, the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani MIA.

"Khafiz Gadjiev received an official warning regarding the responsibility for incitement to any actions contrary to the law," the agency "APA" quotes Sadyg Gezalov as saying.

Elmar Mamedyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, believes that the discussions around the book written by Akram Aylisli will not become a blow to the image of Azerbaijan.

"Azerbaijan has managed to achieve the freedom of expression in the country," the Minister said.

According to the opinion of Elmar Mamedyarov, the discussion of the book written by Akram Aylisli and various opinions prove freedom of expression in the country, the agency "News-Azerbaijan" reports.
