Power agents: person killed in Dagestan identified as Arsen Kuramagomedov

The person shot dead today in a shoot-out with the police in Dagestan has been initially identified as Arsen Kuramagomedov, the leader of a terrorist grouping, said a source from law enforcement bodies.

In the village of Pervomayskoe, policemen tried to stop a car for inspection, but fire was opened at them from inside, the police have reported. The driver was killed by response fire; and a policeman was wounded in the shooting.

Kuramagomedov was earlier convicted for murder and robbery; he spent 8 years in prison and was released in 2010. "Once back at large he immediately went 'into the forest'," the source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

This is not the first report about identification of the casualty as Arsen Kuramagomedov. Earlier, it was reported that he was killed on December 28, 2012, in Makhachkala, among the group of three militants. However, their relatives failed to identify their bodies.
