Ahmed Bilalov asked the Olympic Committee of Russia to dismiss him from the office of Vice President
Today Ahmed Bilalov submitted a statement asking to dismiss him from the office of Vice President of the Olympic Committee of Russia (OCR) of his own free will, a source in sports circles reported.
This week Executive section of the Committee was planning to consider the question of resignation of Vice President of the Olympic Committee of Russia Ahmed Bilalov on whom responsibility for frustration of construction terms of an Olympic object in Sochi and its price rise by several times was laid.
OCR is expected to consider Ahmed Bilalov’s resignation on February, 19. Head of OCR Alexander Zhukov informed the journalists about the date of the session.
The session will be held in a closed regime, representative of the Olympic Committee Svetlana Smirnova reported.
“The management decided to organize voting without the journalists’ presence”, Svetlana Smirnova said to the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
According to her, “such sessions are most often held behind closed doors” and this is “considered a norm”.
It is known that Bilalov has already submitted a statement asking to dismiss him from office.
