The court in Moscow requested a translation of the judgement of ECtHR on "Nord-Ost" case from the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation

Today Lefortovsky district court of Moscow decided to submit a request to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to provide a translation of the judgement of the European Court of Human Rights on the case of the storm of the theatre centre in Dubrovka street.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” reported that on December, 20, 2011, ECtHR obliged Russia to pay a compensation to the persons who suffered from the terrorist act in Dubrovka. The European Court also expressed reprimands concerning the actions of power-wielding structures during the storm of the theatre centre in Dubrovka resolving that Russia violated clause 2 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (right to life).

In October of 2012 Committee of Inquiry dismissed the demand of the sufferers’ defense to start criminal proceedings against the commanders of the special operation in 2002. On December, 26, 2012, Lefortovsky district court of Moscow acknowledged the investigator’s inaction unlawful. On February, 4, Moscow city court returned the case for a new consideration.

During today’s trial judge Olga Krivousova granted the claim of the sufferers’ attorney Igor Trunov demanding to start criminal proceedings against the officials who took the decision of a storm during seizure of the spectators of "Nord-Ost" musical by the terrorists.

Hearing of the case was deferred till February, 25. By that moment the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation must provide the court with the translation of the judgement of ECtHR.

During today’s session it also became known that verifying materials on Boris Nemtsov’s statement had not been referred to the court, RIA “Novosti” reports.
