Oleg Kersanov appointed Premier of Volgograd Region
Today, at a special meeting, deputies of the Volgograd Regional Duma approved the candidacy of Oleg Kersanov to occupy the position of the head the Government of the Region.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Konstantin Khramov, Chairman of the Government of the Volgograd Region filed an application to quite the position. On February 19, his resignation was accepted by Sergey Bozhenov, Governor of the Region.
The candidacy of Oleg Kersanov, who occupied the position of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Regional Government, was proposed by the Governor for the consideration by the Duma of the Volgograd Region, the "Interfax" reports.
Majority of the Duma deputies voted to assign Oleg Kersanov to the position of Vice-Governor, Chairman of the Regional Government, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
