KBSU to enrol other 12 students from Syria

In the next two or three days, 12 students from Syria expected to arrive till February 20 will arrive in Nalchik. This was reported by Djatkar Samir, the leader of the Syrian national groups at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU).

The cause of the late arrival of the students was explained by Djatkar Samir, the leader of the Syrian national groups at the KBSU.

"Their delay is probably caused by the fact that they arrive not by direct flights. Some of them arrive through Istanbul, and others come through Beirut," Djatkar Samir has said.

The students who come from Syria immediately begin their studies. The newly arrived students have classes in intensive mode.

"We do not pay for our accommodation at the dormitory. We get maintenance allowances in the amount of 1270 roubles. Of course, the money is not enough; however, many of those student who came also work part time and help other students," Djatkar Samir has said.

In total, 102 persons from Syria were enrolled on a course of the preparatory department. This was stated by Anatoly Kodzokov, the head of the Department for Foreign Relations of the KBSU.
