Ovannisyan supporters clash with police in Yerevan

In front of the office of the observation mission of the ODIHR/OSCE in Yerevan, a collision occurred between the police and supporters of Raffi Ovannisyan, an ex-candidate at the presidential election in Armenia, the leader of the oppositional "Heritage" Party.

The supporters expressed their protest against the mission's conclusion, according to which the Armenian election was transparent and consistent with international standards.

The clash with policemen began after they demanded that the protesters should leave the territory. The policemen pushed the protesters some 100-200 meters away from the building, the "News-Armenia" reports.

The protesters were invited by the OSCE office to send two delegates to the building; however, they rejected it. The activist Narek Babayan said that they had come to protest.

The demonstrators offered OSCE officials to come down to them, the "Express.am" reports.
