The court in Dagestan brought a standing judgement on compensation to Sergey Evloev

The court in Dagestan dismissed the appeal of Department of Federal Treasury leaving the decision of compensation of moral damage to a sum of 500 roubles to Sergey Evloev accused of participation in armed underground and encroachment on an official of law enforcement bodies standing, “Memorial” human rights center reports.

The nineteen-year-old resident of Makhachkala Sergey Evloev was arrested on May, 25, 2011. On April, 27, 2012, a trial with the participation of the jury started as a result of which Evloev was acknowledged guiltless on all the charges. On November, 28, 2012, a judge of Federal court of Sovietsky district of Makhachkala passed a judgement granting Sergey Evloev’s claim of compensation of moral damage recovering 500 thousand roubles from the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry in person of Department of Federal Treasury appealed against the verdict.

It should be reminded that Evloev reported two abductions, beating and torture by the personnel of law enforcement bodies. According to him, officials of Anti-extremist Center participated in these actions, however Evloev’s request of starting criminal proceedings was dismissed for the absence of elements of a crime in their actions.
