Volgograd: investigators checked within the trial on GIBDD bribes

At the trial dealing with bribes in the GIBDD (Road Safety Inspectorate), the statement of the regional FSB on telephone calls was added to the case files.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the prisoner's dock contains GIBDD employees Oleg Kirpa, Alexander Bondarenko, Alexander Karasaev and Evgeny Perepelitsa, who, according to investigators, in 2010, acting jointly with Sergey Novak, organized a group engaged in collecting money from their subordinates. They are accused of taking bribes and a large-scale extortion.

On May 29, the prosecutor petitioned about extension of the judicial investigation, because the defendant Alexander Karasaev had questioned, in his speech at debates, the proofs of the prosecution, namely, the audio records presented at the session. As a result, the court granted the petition.

The state prosecutor also said that her report in relation to some investigators of the Investigating Department for the Volgograd Region of the ICRF had caused a procedural check.

"During the trial, some witnesses complained about the pressure on them by investigators," she said. "In this context, a check was conducted, which failed to confirm the facts."

The defendants' advocates want to study the document and give their opinions at the next session on July 2.
