Six repatriates from Syria arrived in Nalchik

This morning two families, six persons all in all, who were evacuated from Syria at night of January, 23, arrived from Moscow to Nalchik by train, Anzor Kurashinov, Head of the Department of the affairs of repatriates of the Ministry of mass media, non-governmental and religious organizations of Kabardino-Balkaria, reported.

It should be reminded that at night of January, 23, 77 persons, among them 27 children, 30 women and 20 men were evacuated from Syria. They were assigned to Northern Caucasus and other regions of the Russian Federation for further residence.

“All the people who arrived in KBR are Circassians. The women are natives of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria. Several years ago they married their compatriots from Syria who studied in Nalchik and went to live there. The question with provision of these families in currently being settled”, Anzor Kurashinov said.

During the period of the conflict in Syria about 500 repatriates resettled to KBR, representative of republican non-governmental organization “Peryt” Beslan Khagazhey told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
