Buzurtanov’s sister in Ingushetia held a picket demanding to find out his location

Today a single-person picket took place near the bus terminal in Nazran. The action with a demand to find trainer of Ingush wrestling club “Kaloy” Ahmed Buzurtanov was held by his sister Liza Buzurtanova.

Ahmed Buzurtanov was kidnapped in the evening of December, 6, 2012, in the settlement of Maiskoye, Prigorodny district of North Ossetia. Local residents state that he was put into a car by force and carried away in an unknown direction by unidentified persons.

ECtHR demanded from the authorities of Russia to provide information on the case of Ahmed Buzurtanov’s abduction. The claim was submitted to ECtHR in order to prevent Buzurtanov’s complete disappearance or murder.

According to Ahmed Buzurtanov’s sister, two months passed since the day of her brother’s disappearance but there have been “no results of investigation of the case”.

“Today I received a letter from Federal Security Service running that the case went beyond their jurisdiction. They advised me to appeal to Public Prosecutor’s office of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alanya. I wonder what I am to do”, the kidnapped man’s sister says indignantly.

The “Caucasian Knot” has yet no comment from the authorities of Ingushetia or investigative bodies concerning the statements of Buzurtanov’s relatives on the process of investigation of his abduction.
