Two Shamilkala villagers detained in Dagestan
Rasul and Yakub Magomedov, residents of the village of Shamilkala, Untsukul District of Dagestan, were detained by law enforcers, said their advocate Nurmagomed Magomedov. He asserts that weapons and ammunition had been planted on the detainees.
The advocate told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on Tuesday morning law enforcers came to the summer house of Rasul Magomedov in Shamilkala with a search warrant. As far as the advocate knows, the son of the detained Yakub Magomedov, who was in Shamilkala, went to visit his father, but was stopped in the outskirt of the village.
"According to the witness, who was with him in the car, some firearms were also planted into the car. From today's midday I'm in Shamilkala; however, I can't figure out where the detainees are. I addressed the police and left an application at the prosecutor's office. Nobody can tell me what the grounds for the search were, who sanctioned it and who conducted the search," said Nurmagomed Magomedov.
According to Abdulla Abdullaev, a witness of the incident, the detention of Magomedovs has nothing to do with the murder of a resident of Kharachi on June 30.
The on duty officer of the local ROVD (District Interior Division) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Magomedovs were not delivered to the ROVD, and hi did not know their whereabouts.
The "Caucasian Knot" is monitoring the situation in Dagestan and runs the chronicle of armed incidents and kidnappings.
