Ingushetia: number of "Promzhilbaza" hunger-strikers goes down to nine
In Karabulak, nine people from the temporary accommodation centre (TAC) "Promzhilbaza", who demand issuance of housing certificates to Chechen families living there, continue their hunger strike. One man stopped his action after a conflict with the police, said Aset Khadisova, a hunger-striker.
Let us remind you that on July 1, 10 "Promzhilbaza" inhabitants went on an endless hunger strike demanding to solve their housing problem. The protesters demand issuance of housing certificates to all the families of displaced Chechens living in the TAC "Promzhilbaza", saying that otherwise after the TAC is closed, they will have nowhere to live.
On July 1, a hunger-strike Muhammad Arapiev was taken to the police after a verbal quarrel with a policeman. At night on July 2 he was released.
According to the hunger-strikers, policemen provoke them to conflict. The protesters continue sitting in the street, in spite of the police cordon around the venue.
So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of Ingush authorities on the statement of Aset Khadisova that not all of the 33 announced housing certificates had been issued to "Promzhilbaza" residents, as well as on the reasons for Muhammad Arapiev's detention by the police of Karabulak.
