Hunger-strikers at "Promzhilbaza" in Ingushetia have health problems, one of them reports
The health condition of several women who are holding their hunger strike at the temporary accommodation centre (TAC) "Promzhilbaza" in Karabulak has deteriorated sharply. On July 3, the ambulance was called three times, said one of the hunger-strikers.
On July 1, ten residents of the TAC "Promzhilbaza" in Karabulak went on an endless hunger strike demanding to solve their housing problem. They want that all the families of refugees from Chechnya living at the "Promzhilbaza" receive their housing certificates, stating that otherwise after the closure of the "Promzhilbaza" they will have nowhere to go. On July 2, Muhamad Arapiev stopped his hunger strike after a conflict with the police. Nine protesters continue their action.
Let us remind you that on June 11, 33 families of forced migrants from Chechnya living in the TAC "Promzhilbaza" received certificates for purchase of housing. The republic plans to liquidate all the TACs, said the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov. However, 13 Chechen families were not put on the consolidated list for receiving housing certificates.
Earlier, Magomed Bariev, the head of the city administration of Karabulak, said that the refugees' hunger strike will not solve their problems. "There is a consolidated list; and everyone who is on it, will receive their certificates as the queue moves on," said Bariev.
